It’s Ryan’s goal to ensure health care providers feel confident giving care to those in need, without fear of losing their wellbeing and everything they’ve worked hard to achieve. As a business development consultant, Ryan works to acquire, expand and retain client accounts for Arkansas Mutual and MMIC, members of Constellation’s growing portfolio of medical professional liability companies that also includes UMIA. Building strong relationships is at the heart this work, and on any given day he can be found touching base with customers and agency partners, either virtually or by car.
Nicole Graziano oversees claims and coverage for Arkansas and serves as the audit lead. Before joining the company in 2011, Nicole previously held positions in commercial lines property and casualty insurance companies. At W.R. Berkley Corporation, she served as counsel; at Continental Western Group, she oversaw extracontractual claims and panel counsel as a claim attorney. She stays current in the industry by attending continuing legal education courses sponsored by Defense Research Institute and profesionally liability seminars sponsored by the Medical Professional Liability Association. Nicole has her BA in Political Science from Northwestern University and her JD from Drake University Law School.
Betty Van Woert received her BSN from the University Nebraska Medical Center and has over 40 years of healthcare experience. She was inducted to Sigma Theta Tau nursing honorary, is a Certified Professional of Healthcare Risk Management, holds memberships in ASHRM and AWHONN, and is a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer.
Betty brings clinical and case management experience in women’s and neonatal healthcare. Betty sees her Patient Safety work as an opportunity to have a broader impact on the culture, beliefs and practices in healthcare—knowing first-hand how patient safety and proactive risk management can have a positive impact on both patient and practitioner experiences.
Today, she builds on this important work by providing risk and patient safety consultation and education for hospitals, health care facilities, clinics and physician practices.

Mrs. Spillyards is a native Arkansan and a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to being the Underwriter, she was an Account Manager and Compliance Manager for six years at Arkansas Mutual and has 3 years experience as an underwriting assistant for American Management Corporation. Mrs. Spillyards is also the main contact for billing at Arkansas Mutual.
